Avoid the Side Effects of CoolSculpting with the Verju Laser

If you, like many, have grown tired of looking at your love handles every morning, the chances are good that you’ve begun the process of seeking treatment to help you further contour your frame and manage those trouble zones. There are a great many treatments currently on the market, and each one of them comes with its own list of benefits and side effects. As a patient, it is up to each individual to decide which procedure is best for them. CoolSculpting is one of these procedures, and like others it comes with its own risks, rewards, and alternatives as well.

What Is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a relatively emergent fat treatment that works by freezing excess fat cells. As an alternative to liposuction, this non-invasive treatment requires no needle, no scalpel, and minimal downtime. The patient’s fat cells are frozen during the procedure through a process known as cryolipolysis. These cells then die off and are gradually flushed out by the body over a period of 2-4 months. This freezing process addresses only the targeted fat cells, and spares the surrounding muscle and skin. Although a patient may begin to see results in 3 weeks, most results appear two to four months after treatment. Results from CoolSculpting are minimal, and it is not a recommended treatment for those seeking significant weight loss results.

Safety and Side Effects of CoolSculpting

CoolSculpting may be the latest craze, but is it really safe? Although CoolSculpting has been cleared by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), there are associated risks and side effects that patients should be aware of prior to opting for the procedure.

The most common side effects of CoolSculpting are swelling, redness, and bruising as well as a temporary reduction of sensation in the area. Although transient, these side effects may be bothersome to certain patients. Another side effect that has not yet been well addressed is the possibility of significant pain. While little to no pain is common directly after treatment, some patients begin to experience extreme pain and swelling within days after treatment. This pain can reportedly last for multiple weeks. In very rare cases, CoolSculpting may result in a paradoxical increase in fat thickness in the treatment area.

Verjú Laser

If the idea of freezing your fat to death sounds a little extreme, there are many other options on the market to consider. One of these treatments is the Verjú laser system. This laser system has no known side effects and causes no tissue damage whatsoever. The Verjú laser system uses green laser technology to reduce cellulite and fat by opening pores in fat tissue and causing the contents of those fat cells to be released. This allows the body to process this fat, and accounts for a notable reduction in body size.

The Verjú laser uses low level laser beams that are focused on the problem area for a period of up to 30 minutes. This area is then massaged, and the appointment is complete. Patients can then go about their day and experience no adverse effects. Contrary to CoolSculpting, the Verjú laser is not painful, requires no cooling or heating of tissue, and requires no aftercare.  As an added benefit, patients can expect results in as little as two weeks.

There are a great many treatments on the market for fat reduction. Every one of these treatments comes with a risk of side effects or lack of improvement. These side effects should be carefully considered before any patient seeks treatment. Cosmetic care practitioners commonly recommend that patients choose the least invasive method possible to achieve their desired results. When finding a solution for cellulite removal and fat loss, you should consider Verju laser.
